Excursions, Carpentry Play & Creative Learning!

March has been a wonderful and busy month for our centre! With sunny and warm weather, we have been making the most of it by taking our tamariki on regular excursions to Paper Road Park and Panmure Library. Our babies, toddlers, and preschoolers have loved these outings, exploring new environments and engaging in new learning experiences. We are also excited to share that we have introduced new resources to support our tamariki’s love for carpentry play. These hands-on experiences continue to spark creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork among our young learners. Our March learning has been rich and diverse, with a focus on colour mixing and loose parts play. These activities have encouraged our tamariki to experiment, create, and discover through open-ended play. We look forward to more exciting learning adventures in the coming months!

A Flourishing Month in Our Garden

February has been an incredibly busy and rewarding month for us as we continue to nurture and expand our garden projects! The beauty of nature is truly in full bloom, and we are excited to share the progress and new additions to our green spaces. New Flowers at the Centre We have introduced a variety of new flowers to the centre, bringing more vibrant colours and fragrances to our environment. These fresh blooms not only enhance the beauty of our space but also attract pollinators that help maintain a healthy ecosystem. Harvest from the Vegetable Garden Our vegetable garden has been thriving, producing an abundance of fresh, nutritious produce. One of the highlights this month has been our kumara leaves, which we happily shared with our family. It is always fulfilling to enjoy and share the fruits of our labour, knowing that we are growing food sustainably and with love. Introducing a new Preschool Vegetable Garden To further encourage hands-on learning and foster a connection with nature, we have also created a new vegetable garden for our preschoolers. This initiative allows children to actively participate in planting, watering, and caring for the plants, instilling a sense of responsibility and love for gardening from a young age. We are excited to see how these projects continue to grow and evolve in the coming months. Gardening is a journey of patience, dedication, and joy, and we are grateful to share this experience with our community. Stay tuned for more updates next month!

The tamariki were delighted, joining in with dances and laughter, creating a vibrant, memorable celebration. It was a heartwarming experience that truly illuminated our day! 🎶 Musical Explorations in Preschool! 🎶 Our tamariki's love for music is flourishing! This week, we embraced their growing interest by inviting Joan and her family to share their musical talents with us. The children were fascinated as they listened to the electric guitar and violin, sparking curiosity and excitement. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce new instruments and sounds into our world, and we can’t thank Joan and her family enough for enriching our tamariki’s musical journey! Celebrating Our Graduates 🎓 Today, we celebrated the graduation of three remarkable tamariki. While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, we are incredibly proud of their growth, achievements, and the joy they’ve brought to our community. To make the occasion extra special, a bubbly fairy made a surprise appearance, adding a magical touch to the celebrations. We wish our graduates all the best as they embark on their next adventure—may it be filled with curiosity, success, and endless joy! Honoring Fijian Language Week 🇫🇯 This week, we’ve been celebrating Fijian Language Week, immersing our tamariki in the rich culture and traditions of Fiji. The tamariki learned about the beautiful islands of Fiji and sat on a traditional Fijian mat, symbolizing the warmth and simplicity of Fijian homes. A heartfelt thank you to Catherine for helping our tamariki connect with and appreciate this vibrant culture. 🎉📚 World Teacher’s Day Celebration! 🌍🍎 On World Teacher’s Day, we celebrated the incredible kaiako who nurture, guide, and inspire our tamariki.
