Our Rooms
Active Explorers Glenfield Rimu has three separate rooms each with its own awesome outdoor playground. This enables us to deliver age appropriate experiences for children at each different age and stage.
Manuka Room (Infants)
This room is our home away from home for our under 2s and is a safe, warm and nurturing space with a beautiful spacious playground dedicated to our babies. We have a strong focus on primary care and follow the natural rhythm of each child.
Kowhai Room (Toddlers)
Specially designed for our 2 to 3 year olds, our homely Toddlers Room is where our children start learning about respect and doing things independently. An amazing playground, complete with a huge trunk and climbing frame, provides endless opportunities for children to build their physical skills.
Pohutukawa Room (Preschool)
Our 3 to 5 year olds start preparing for school in this room. There’s a big focus on building resilience and getting children closer to nature. There are trees to climb, herb gardens to care for and plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and have fun.
