A Month full of fun, learning, and getting out in our community!

During the Month of July we at Active Explorers Mana, have shared in some fun-filled experiences.

Excursions

At the very beginning of the Month, we decided that we needed to seize the moment and start our excursions back up which see us go on regular weekly excursions in our local community here in Mana.

After some very important preparations, including completing our RAMS forms, reaching out to our whānau, and digging in the back of the cupboard for our hi-viz vests-we were ready to go!

Our Tamariki and Kaiako alike now enjoy heading out on a different day each week to embark on some adventures. It is here that ample kōrero (discussions) can take place as we teach and learn some of the history behind our local rōhe (community/area)

School holiday activities

During the school holidays our aim was to provide something new each day. These included Teddy Bears picnic, disco, wacky hair day, fruit salad day, dress up day and of course a wheels day.

What a huge success this was. We received some wonderful feedback from our whānau about how excited their child was to come in for the special days.

We are already planning our next wheels day as we speak which will tie in well with our current “Olympic” games festivities.
