Our Rooms
Preschool/Nursery
Our Preschool/Nursery room provides a calm, relaxed and loving environment for our 0 to 3 year olds. We promote freedom of movement and respectful relationships and give all children the time to explore and evolve naturally, just as nature intended. Before starting with us, each child is assigned a primary care teacher, who will develop a close relationship with the child, getting to know their cues, needs and preferences.
Daily Routine
7:30 am: Centre opens/free play
9:00 am: Rolling morning kai
9:45 am: Free play
11:00 am: Clean up time
11:15 am: Mat time
11:30 am: Lunch time
12:00 pm: Sleep time/free play
2:00 pm: Afternoon kai
4:00 pm: Late snack
5:30 pm: Centre closes
This routine is flexible to meet children’s needs throughout the day. Children sleep and have bottles as required for their individual routine, and meal times are also flexible depending on their needs. Learning experiences are provided throughout the day. Nappy changes are done two hours after children arrive and every three hours after that unless needed sooner.
Tuakana Room
Our Tuakana Room gets our 3 to 5 year olds ready for their transition to school, with a curriculum that focuses on building foundation skills that equip tamariki to enter the next stage of their educational journey with confidence. Much of the day is free-play focussed, allowing children to explore at their own pace while also guiding their interests through intentional teaching. Other parts of the day are more structured including group times and meal times.

9:30 am: Mat time
9:45 am: Morning tea/ free play and learning
11:45 am: Group time
12:00 pm: Lunchtime/free play and learning
2:00 pm: Tidy up time
2:15 pm: Group time
2:30 pm: Afternoon tea
2:50 pm: Outdoors are opened (bikes and sandpit available)
3:00 pm: Majority of our tamariki head home/free play and learning
5:30 pm: Centre closes
